"XMG ENABLES E-SPORTS"

It’s time to introduce our XMG Esports history and share the achievements of the last years with you.

2009

XMG: THE BEGINNING

The idea of offering the first customizable and freely configurable high-end gaming laptops has grown into much more than just a renowned notebook manufacturer to this day: From the very beginning, it was clear to us that esports would be an inseparable part of XMG’s brand identity. For this reason, we have supported the scene since its beginnings and are always at the forefront with our events.

2010

MTW & MOUSEPORTS

Do you still remember the glorious Counter-Strike achievements of Mortal Team Work or the time when gob_b was pulling the strings at mousesports and Zonic was crowned MVP as the most active mTw player at DreamHack Summer 2010? The memory of this may already seem almost surreal for some of you, but in exactly this phase we were sponsor of the two legendary teams.

2011

HOMESTORY CUP III

Under the slogan “35 of the best pro gamers at Take at home”, we got involved as a sponsor of the StarCraft II HomeStory Cup III. We knew from the beginning that we would have a lot of fun at this tournament – during the next seven editions, however, our expectations were far exceeded by a long-standing partnership.

2012

XMG @LA LEAGUE OF LEGENDS WORLDS

Yes, this is about THE Worlds: We were on site as sponsor of CLG.EU and were able to experience the biggest server disaster in the history of LoL esports live. You can still find a particularly funny video about the event on our YouTube-Channel.

2013

HOMESTORY CUP VII AND VIII

The HomeStory Cup was classified as a Premier Tournament and made 2013 a very successful year for us overall. Although Team XMG made it to the winner’s podium of the HSC in December 2021 with a third place finish by XlorD, however editions VII and VIII were then dominated by the Koreans and TaeJa was able to win both tournaments.

2014

NINJAS IN PYJAMAS

The legendary Ninjas in Pyjamas set the tone in Counter Strike: Global Offensive in 2013 and 2014. In the first year of the then latest CS edition, the Swedes went 87-0 in LAN tournaments. We are proud to have been able to share a part of their journey with the clan. King of Banana 4 life!

2015

DREAMHACK SWEDEN

After being in contact with the organizers of DreamHack Sweden for years, the decision was finally made: We are bringing the legendary gaming event to Germany!

2016

PREMIERE: DREAMHACK LEIPZIG

2016 was marked by the fulfillment of another big dream for us: Together with the Leipzig Trade Fair, we finally managed to bring another big gaming event to our hometown of Leipzig. In addition to a 1000-participants-strong LAN and our own exhibition area, the event gave us one of the most exciting and beautiful Counter-Strike finals of the year (DreamHack Open: LG vs. NAVI) – for us the perfect start of a fantastic event also in the following years.

2017

DREAMHACK LEIPZIG 2017 &
BERLIN INTERNATIONAL GAMING

The DreamHack Leipzig 2017 was also the birth of Berlin International Gaming – a new German CS:GO roster that wants to do things differently than other esports teams and is preparing to put the German scene back in the international spotlight. Given legendary names like gob_b and tabseN we could not resist the temptation to get involved as a sponsor. With a spectacular second place at theDreamHack Open the new team was convincing right from the start.

2018

CASTLE SIEGE

An eports-tournament in a real castle? With the best players of the Rainbow Six: Siege scene? We really wanted to be part of such an extraordinary event and couldn’t help ourselves but to support Verdipwnz and his team. A breathtaking scenery and a lot of upsets were the reward for our commitment – 10/10 would do again!

GSA NATIONALS 2019

„XMG Enables E-Sports“, this is our philosophy. Together with Ubisoft, in 2019 we had the chance to put these words into action and additionally write a piece of esports history in Rainbow Six: Siege. This year the GSA Nationals were born and held as a three-country competition with an open Qualifier and were endowed with 50,000 euros, the highest prize money in the German-speaking Rainbow Six: Siege scene to date.

2020

SISSI STATE PUNKS

At XMG, we think differently than most brands because we don’t just love esports, we live it! Entertainment, gaming, music – all these elements have a direct influence on our thinking and the values we represent. The same goes for the Sissi State Punks, which unify the Austrian esports scene under the motto of „Entertaining E-Sports“ – for a strong, joint international presence and want to bring together the whole creative spectrum of the community. Doesn’t this sound familiar?

2021

CGN / PROJECT ATHENA SEASON 1

After we were also able to place ourselves in Valorant with our new partners from CGN Esports, we were pleased to be able to contribute to the diversification of esports. As a partner of Season 1 of the Rainbow Six: Siege Female League “Project Athena” we helped create a format that not only had €10,000 in prize money to offer, but also provided a steppingstone into the higher spheres of esports.

2022

PROJECT V /
RCADIA SIEGE CHAMPIONS

From March 10-13, 2022, the RCADIA Siege Champions Spring took place. The winner received the main share of the €3,500 prizepool and a seven-day boot camp at RCADIA! In our Freeplay Area the visitors and players were able to test the XMG NEO and win merchandise!

Additionally XMG sponsors the Valorant tournament platform Project V by TaKeTV! The great kickoff were the offline finals of the spring split on th 26th of March – enabled by XMG. Additionally there was an open tournament format in the offseason: the XMG CUPs!

2023

PROJECT V / CAGGTUS LEIPZIG

This year was characterised by the development of the VALORANT DACH community. After a great first year in 2022, we were not only able to take part in three PROJECT V Split Finals with our hardware, but also in two further PROJECT QUEENS Finals and the legendary THE POKAL, which brought together teams from VALORANT CHALLENGERS DACH and PROJECT V for a final meeting on 4 November 2023.

In addition, the long-awaited return of the Leipzig LAN & Gaming Festival format CAGGTUS LEIPZIG took place from 14 to 16 April 2023. Of course, we were not only spectators, but also on site with our own area in the LAN area, numerous hardware at the Expo and our legendary XMG Friday Night Party, which we celebrated together with the community!
