- New Product
The XMG APEX 17 is the first laptop in XMG’s lineup to feature the 2026 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB of VRAM, up from the previous 8 GB. This new configuration, first announced at Computex 2026, complements the existing APEX 17 with AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX and RTX 5060, which remains available as the entry-level option. All other specifications – including the chassis, 17.3-inch display, and connectivity – remain unchanged. For a limited time, customers can take advantage of a 5% early-bird discount. In addition, XMG’s partner store, bestware.com, is running its major summer sale, offering up to 20% off on select laptop models.
XMG APEX 17: 17.3-inch laptop with Ryzen 9 9955HX and optional RTX 5070 with 12 GB VRAM

The XMG APEX 17 (M25) now offers an upgrade to the long-awaited NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory, while retaining the same model designation. Both the previously released RTX 5060 version, introduced in November 2025, and the new RTX 5070 version share the same chassis, display, and specifications – only the GPU differs.
The processor remains the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX with 16 cores and 32 threads, AMD’s fastest laptop CPU aside from the significantly more expensive X3D variant. The RTX 5070 runs at the maximum TGP of 115 W including Dynamic Boost, and the increased 12 GB graphics memory provides tangible benefits in demanding AAA games – enabling higher texture quality and graphics detail – as well as improved performance when running local AI models on the laptop.
Dimensions and build remain unchanged: the 17.3-inch laptop measures 402 × 265 × 28.6 mm, weighs approximately 2.8 kg with its 73 Wh battery, and features an aluminium display lid for enhanced stability.
17.3-inch WQHD display with 100 percent DCI-P3 and 240 Hz
The XMG APEX 17 features a 17.3-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, similar to the FOCUS 17. The PWM-free IPS panel covers 100% of both the DCI-P3 and sRGB colour spaces, making it well-suited for content creation. It has a resolution of 2,560 × 1,440 pixels and a refresh rate of 240 Hz, with an optional power-saving 60 Hz mode.

A MUX switch allows the internal display to be permanently connected to the high-performance NVIDIA dGPU. At the top of the screen, XMG has integrated a Full HD webcam with temporal noise reduction and a physical privacy shutter.
Up to 128 GB of RAM and 16 TB of SSD storage
The laptop offers two SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 slots with PCI Express 4.0 connectivity, supporting up to 128 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a maximum of 16 TB SSD storage. Additional thermal pads help maintain optimal temperatures and consistent performance. Due to the current memory shortage, XMG’s partner store, bestware.com, is temporarily only offering 48 GB RAM modules instead of 64 GB.
Rear I/O ports and keyboard with a full-size numeric keypad
The XMG APEX 17 offers extensive connectivity. On the rear, users will find an HDMI 2.1 port with 48 Gbit/s bandwidth, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with integrated DisplayPort 1.4, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and the power adapter connector. The left and right sides include a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with DisplayPort 2.1 and DP40, supporting 100 W Power Delivery, two USB-A ports (3.2 Gen 2 and 3.2 Gen 1), and a 2-in-1 audio jack for headset and microphone. Wireless connectivity is handled via Wi-Fi 6E.

Thanks to this arrangement, the laptop can natively drive up to three external monitors in addition to its internal display. The HDMI and DisplayPort 2.1-capable USB-C ports are directly linked to the NVIDIA dGPU, while the DisplayPort 1.4-capable USB-C port runs via the AMD iGPU, with NVIDIA Optimus automatically switching between GPUs based on performance needs.
The keyboard comes with a full-size numeric keypad, full-size arrow keys, Fn-Lock, and customisable multicolour LED backlighting. A glass-like touchpad measuring 150 × 90 mm completes the input setup.
