XMG APEX 15 MAX

KING OF THE HILL

The mighty XMG APEX 15 MAX combines the best of two hardware worlds: pairing the latest AMD Ryzen desktop processors up to the high-performance 16 core Ryzen 9 5950X with fast NVIDIA RTX laptop GPUs. This combination infuses the unique desktop replacement laptop with substantial performance. A powerful cooling system tames the temperatures of the Socket AM4 CPU effortlessly, so the high performance of the device is available permanently. Another advantage of the desktop replacement approach: the solid design of the base chassis provides ample space for a broad range of external connections.

AMD desktop processors

Unlike conventional laptops, the XMG APEX 15 MAX breaks with common conventions. Instead of laptop CPUs, the high-performance mobile device opts for AMD Ryzen desktop processors with 65 watts. The desktop genes of the MAX variant of the APEX are also reflected in the motherboard: a socket AM4 model with B550 chipset is used, which among other things provides PCI Express 4.0 for the graphics card connection and M.2 SSD support.

The desktop genes of the MAX variant of the APEX are also reflected in the motherboard: a socket AM4 model with B550 chipset is used, which among other things provides PCI Express 4.0 for the graphics card connection and M.2 SSD support.

NVIDIA RTX 3000 graphics cards

In order to provide a worthy counterpart to the impressive CPU performance on the graphics card side, the XMG APEX 15 MAX relies on the latest NVIDIA RTX graphics chips. The GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce RTX 3060 offers powerful 3D and gaming performance and support the latest graphics features. This makes the laptop the first choice not only for FPS-hungry games, but also in the area of content creation. Due to the modern CUDA architecture with its dedicated RT and Tensor cores, the RTX GPUs also accelerate ray tracing and AI computing processes.

Fast-action gaming display

IPS panel with 240 Hz

A bright Full HD display with a high-quality IPS panel provides colour-intensive image reproduction and high sRGB colour space coverage. The fast refresh rate of 240 Hz provides an extremely smooth gaming experience. But even beyond that, the display has all the qualities that matter to demanding users: First-class black levels and high contrast help you keep a lookout even in dark gaming scenes.

Wide variety of interfaces

The XMG APEX 15 Max offers a wide range of external connectivity, including four USB ports including USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, an HDCP-capable HDMI 2.1 output and a Mini DisplayPort 1.4; The latter providing support to drive professional displays at up to 8K resolution. In addition to a headset-compatible headphone output, there is a separate microphone input, an RJ45 connection for a network cable and an integrated microSD card reader.

Connection options for

three external monitors

With a total of three external graphics interfaces, the XMG APEX 15 Max is perfectly prepared for the use of a multi-monitor setup or VR headset. In addition to the internal display, the laptop allows direct image output to a maximum of three external screens – without the need for cumbersome adapters. For this purpose, a DisplayPort-capable USB-C port, an HDMI output and a Mini DisplayPort are available, all of which are directly connected to the GeForce RTX graphics card.

Up to three SSDs and 64 GB RAM

The flexible storage options of the XMG APEX 15 Max allow for customised configurations. Two M.2 slots dedicated to fast NVMe SSDs and an additional 2.5 inch drive bay provide plenty of storage space when needed. The primary M.2 slot is connected via PCI Express 4.0 and is thus ready for current high-end drives. Up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM also contributes to a high degree of future-proofing. The socket RAM modules, like the storage drives, are easily accessible via a removable bottom shell – ideal for upgrading or servicing the laptop at a later date.

Optimised headset sound

Thanks to Creative’s latest Sound Blaster technology, the XMG APEX 15 Max delivers powerful and high-resolution sound to your gaming headset. The Sound Blaster Cinema 6+ app lets you customise the sound to your individual preferences. The functions include the ability to tune multiple sound profiles for different listening usage cases – because the sound requirements differ when gaming compared to whilst listening to music or watching videos. With Cinema 6+ you get the best out of your headset!
