The optimised cooling system is specifically tailored to the requirements of the mobile flagship CPU from Intel and the high-performance NVIDIA graphics chips. Furthermore, with a maximum of 64 GB DDR5 RAM and two slots for high-performance PCIe 4.0 SSDs, the laptop offers enormous memory equipment at a professional level. Thanks to its partly aluminium chassis, the PRO 17 not only has a high-quality feel, but also impressive durability.

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards ignite an explosion of innovation, delivering significantly more FPS in your games across all performance classes. The top configuration variant of the XMG PRO 17 uses the very powerful RTX 4070, although the RTX 4060 already provides a lot of performance – in each case in the maximum configuration with 140 watts of graphics power. You can fire up the turbo with DLSS 3 as an exclusive feature of the RTX 40 series: The AI technology generates additional, high-quality frames so that your gaming experience remains exceptionally smooth even at high resolutions and with activated ray tracing effects.

Advanced Optimus

Advanced Optimus switches the connection of the laptop display between the powerful NVIDIA graphics chip and the efficient, integrated GPU of the processor completely automatic and during operation. When gaming, you benefit from the direct connection to the dGPU through higher performance and minimised input lag. Switching to the iGPU, on the other hand, allows for more efficient operation and thus longer battery runtimes. In addition to automatic switching via Advanced Optimus, you can also adjust the connection manually via a MUX switch.

Intel’s Core i9-13900HX gives you unrivalled performance for highly parallelised content creation applications and demanding games. The elite-class HX CPU offers 24 cores, 32 threads, an expanded cache of 36 MB and an impressive boost clock of up to 5.4 GHz. Given these features, the mobile high-end processor delivers impressive single- and multi-core performance: the uncompromising performance of a desktop processor in a portable laptop format merged to perfection.

With a razor-sharp WQHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), high refresh rate of 240 Hz and G-SYNC support, the IPS panel of the XMG PRO 17 is the ideal gaming display. But it is also in top form for all creative tasks: 99 % coverage of the sRGB and extended DCI-P3 colour space guarantees excellent colour accuracy. A high-contrast display, excellent viewing angles and vivid, brilliant colours round off the display properties.

The 17.3-inch UHD display (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) impresses with the highest possible resolution and first-class panel characteristics. With 99 % coverage of both the sRGB and the extended DCI-P3 colour space, the 400 nits bright IPS panel meets professional requirements for image and video editing. Those who want to immerse themselves in thrilling gaming after their work is done will also find the right features here: despite the high resolution, the display is 144 Hz fast and G-SYNC-capable.

Native connectivity for

In the professional field, multi-monitor setups increase productivity and are also increasingly used in gaming and streaming setups. The XMG PRO 17 can natively drive up to four external displays in addition to its internal display: via HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 1.4a, and a DisplayPort-enabled USB-C port, all of which connect directly to the powerful NVIDIA dGPU to support G-SYNC, NVIDIA Surround and all the latest VR headsets, as well as via a Thunderbolt 4 port coupled to Intel’s efficient iGPU.

Thunderbolt 4 is much more than a high-speed interface for data exchange with the fastest external SSDs. With its integrated DisplayPort stream coupled to the efficient iGPU, the slot allows you to output images to two 4K-capable external monitors or even connect the most powerful, multifunctional docking stations: This way, you can connect your laptop to your desk or your work environment in a flash and with just one cable – including multi-monitor setups, network connection, printer, mouse and keyboard.

Complementing its Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C 3.2 ports, the XMG PRO 17 offers two USB-A 3.2 slots, 2.5 Gigabit LAN, fast Wi-Fi 6E and a microSD card reader. The microphone port also supports an optical S/PDIF signal, and a high-resolution Full HD webcam with Temporal Noise Reduction for intelligent image enhancement is available for high-quality video chats. Separate inputs and outputs for headphones and microphone complete the all-round carefree package. Thanks to the smart positioning of the connections, all ports for large plugs are located at the back of the laptop.

Style and functionality go hand in hand on the XMG PRO 17’s multi-typist keyboard. A dedicated, full-fledged numeric keypad, navigation keys and separate full-size arrow keys increase input comfort in productive use. In addition to a clearly defined pressure point for precise keystrokes, the keyboard exudes plenty of RGB charm if desired – either through various lighting effects or an own setup, thanks to the freely adjustable per-key illumination. The brightness level can be adjusted in several steps.

To give you the best possible sound on your headphones and the most immersive gaming experience possible, the XMG PRO 17 uses Creative Sound Blaster technology to customise sound. With the Sound Blaster Studio Pro app, you can access optimised sound profiles for gaming, movies or music, adjust the sound separately for speakers and headset to your individual taste, and get features to enhance voice transmissions: The Pro version of the app allows, for example, the filtering of unwanted, dynamic background noise during a voice call.
