BRAKE FOR NOTHING

The XMG PRO 15 audio is for those of you who want to go beyond pure DJing. With enough power to comfortably handle DAW work, VJing, content creation and live streaming while simultaneously being a VR-capable gaming powerhouse, it’s the best of both worlds: there’s really nothing you can’t do with this machine. A 10th generation 8-core Intel processor, paired with the latest NVIDIA graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q, lets you unleash impressive performance – all in a compact, full-body aluminium chassis, weighing in at less than 2 kg.

Unfortunately, both the XMG DJ 15 and the XMG PRO 15 Audio are currently out of stock. Normally, there would be no need for any placeholder text like this one, as we would have successors ready for release – however, this time it’s not entirely up to us.

The introduction of Modern Standby and related changes to power management architecture on laptops are making it impossible for us – and as a matter of fact, for every other manufacturer – to release a laptop and genuinely call it “audio-optimized” at this point. This is in no way related to Windows 11 itself, which the new machines will be running – it’s due to changes on hardware level that need to be adapted to step by step.

If everything works out as expected, XMG might become the world’s first manufacturer to fine-tune Modern Standby machines for pro audio purposes – however, this is still very much a work in progress, so: no promises. We appreciate your interest and ask for a bit more patience as we figure this out. Stay tuned!

Like the XMG DJ 15, the PRO 15 Audio has been put through its paces and tweaked for optimum performance, ensuring that DPC latency remains below 1 ms out of the box. This isn’t just great for DJs, but also for live performing producers and VJs who want to take advantage of low-latency audio-responsive visuals without worrying about glitches and dropouts. Forget about having to turn off Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to keep things running stable either! It’s all in the hardware – combined with our sleek, completely bloatware-free Windows 10 Pro install with a few essential tweaks baked right in, you won’t have to waste precious time optimizing the system. Just install whatever you need – whether it’s a DAW, DJ software, creative tools, VJ and streaming software, your games or your VR rig – and you’re good to go. We’ve tested it all!

Despite its sub-20 mm chassis, the connectivity options of the XMG PRO 15 Audio leave nothing to be desired. These include a microSD card reader with fast UHS-II support, a Gigabit LAN port, a Wi-Fi 6 wireless network connection and three USB 3.2 ports for your audio interfaces, DJ mixers and MIDI controllers. Separate inputs and outputs for headphones and microphone allow maximum flexibility with your choice of audio peripherals when you’re not using external hardware; the microphone connection also supports an optical S/PDIF signal.

Intel eight-core processor

Intel’s Core i7-10870H offers eight fast Comet Lake cores and processes up to 16 threads simultaneously. The mobile processor from the current tenth Core generation operates with a base and boost clock of 2.2 GHz and up to 5.0 GHz respectively. Thanks to its ample performance reserves, neither the latest multicore-hungry games nor highly parallelised software applications pose a challenge.

All the smoothness

The Full HD 144Hz non-glare IPS display will provide rich colours, high contrast, a brightness of 300 nits and excellent viewing angles while outpacing the waveform rendering capabilities of any DJ software. It simply doesn’t get any smoother!

Glass touchpad

The PRO 15 Audio features a keyboard suitable for frequent typists featuring a separate numeric keypad, multi-level adjustable brightness and a clearly defined keystroke. An easily adjustable RGB per-key backlight lets you create entirely custom backlighting layouts for whichever software you use in dark environments such as clubs. This is complemented by a high-quality, precise Microsoft Precision glass touchpad with a generously large gliding surface and two dedicated tactile buttons, providing a comfortable and precise click response.

3 EXTERNAL DISPLAYS

Especially in professional environments, but increasingly also in private gaming and live streaming setups, multi-monitor configurations are commonplace. The XMG PRO 15 not only offers extended connectivity for additional displays via the DisplayPort stream of the Thunderbolt 3 port, but also features a native, G-SYNC-compatible Mini DisplayPort 1.4 and an HDMI 2.1 connection. These ultra-resolution display outputs mean that nothing stands in the way of multi-out VJing, live streaming with easy monitoring – or comfortable couch gaming on a high-resolution 4K TV with fast 120 Hz technology.
