- New Product
XMG is introducing 2026 refreshes of its 16-inch laptops from the APEX and PRO model series with the XMG APEX 16 and XMG PRO 16 VE. Unlike the 2025 APEX 16 MAX and PRO 16 VE models, the new versions feature an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB of VRAM. Both models also receive minor adjustments to their cooling systems and bottom ventilation.
XMG APEX 16: Ryzen 9 9955HX or 8945HX and RTX 5070 with 12 GB VRAM

Following in the footsteps of the XMG APEX 16 MAX (M25), the new XMG APEX 16 (M26) offers a choice between the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX from the Fire Range and the Ryzen 9 8945HX from the Dragon Range refresh generation. Both processors feature 16 cores and 32 threads.
For graphics, the laptop uses the updated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB of VRAM and a maximum graphics power of 115 watts, including Dynamic Boost. By contrast, the 2025 XMG APEX 16 MAX (M25) is equipped with the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and therefore remains available as the higher-end MAX version of the 16-inch laptop.
XMG exclusively offers the APEX 16 (M26) with a 300 Hz IPS display featuring 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 500 nits of brightness and 100 per cent coverage of both the sRGB and DCI-P3 colour spaces. The APEX 16 MAX additionally offers a Mini-LED display as an option.
The cooling system and bottom shell have been modified. Unlike the MAX version, the new APEX 16 features a third fan dedicated to RAM cooling, requiring additional ventilation slots in the redesigned bottom shell. As the cooling system has been adapted to the lower-powered graphics card, which delivers 115 watts instead of 140 watts, the laptop weighs slightly less at 2.35 kg including its 99.8 Wh battery. The chassis dimensions remain unchanged at 356.7 x 253.8 x 26 mm.
Depending on the selected processor, the XMG APEX 16 supports up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM with the Ryzen 9 9955HX or up to 96 GB of DDR5-5200 RAM with the Ryzen 9 8945HX. Both M.2 SSD slots feature heat shields and thermal pads, while the primary slot is connected via PCI Express 5.0.

The APEX 16 offers extensive connectivity. The rear of the chassis houses HDMI 2.1, the power adapter connector, a DP40-compatible Mini DisplayPort 2.1 and a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port with DisplayPort 1.4a and 140 watts (20 V, 7 A) or 100 watts (20 V, 5 A) of Power Delivery. The sides feature another USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port with DisplayPort 1.4a and 100-watt Power Delivery, three USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, an SD Express-compatible card reader for full-size SD cards and a 2-in-1 audio jack for headset and microphone. A Full HD webcam with a physical privacy cover is available for video conferencing, while Wi-Fi 6E provides wireless connectivity.
Thanks to its extensive range of video outputs, the APEX 16 can natively drive up to four external monitors in addition to the internal display. The Mini DisplayPort and HDMI connections are routed through the NVIDIA dGPU for maximum graphics performance, while the DisplayPort functionality of both USB-C ports operates through NVIDIA Optimus via the processor’s energy-efficient iGPU.
The 123 x 77.5 mm touchpad with its glass-like surface and the full-size keyboard with N-key rollover and per-key RGB backlighting are identical to those of the APEX 16 MAX (M25). The APEX 16 (M26) also features a full-size numeric keypad, offset arrow keys and an Fn-Lock function.
XMG PRO 16 VE: Core i9-14900HX and RTX 5070 with 12 GB VRAM

Similar to the XMG APEX 16 (M26), the XMG PRO 16 VE (M26) is a model update featuring NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB of VRAM and 115 watts of graphics power. The laptop continues to use an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor with 24 cores (8 P-cores, 16 E-cores) and 32 threads.
The previous M25 model remains available alongside the M26 version, featuring both the faster RTX 5070 Ti and the slower RTX 5060. Remaining stock of the older RTX 5070 with only 8 GB of VRAM is currently being cleared.
The IPS display has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, a refresh rate of 300 Hz and a brightness of 500 nits. It covers 100 per cent of both the sRGB and DCI-P3 colour spaces.

Like the APEX 16, the PRO 16 VE features a cooling system with a third fan dedicated to RAM cooling and providing additional cooling for the heat pipes of the laptop’s composite cooling system. The modified bottom shell also provides additional ventilation openings. As a result, the new XMG PRO 16 VE can deliver more performance than its predecessor under sustained CPU and GPU load. The combined total system power of the Core i9-14900HX and RTX 5070 is 195 watts in the M26 model, up from 180 watts in the previous version.
The 16-inch laptop measures 356.7 x 252.5 x 26.5 mm and weighs 2.35 kg including the 99.8 Wh battery.
Two M.2 SSD slots support up to 16 TB of storage and are connected via PCI Express 4.0. Two SO-DIMM sockets support up to 128 GB (2 x 64 GB) of DDR5 RAM, with speeds of up to 5200 or 5600 MT/s depending on the capacity and type of modules selected. Heat shields and thermal pads also help keep component temperatures under control.
The XMG PRO 16 VE (M26) offers the same connectivity as the XMG APEX 16 (M26), including the same routing of the video interfaces through either the NVIDIA dGPU or the processor’s iGPU. However, the Intel-based laptop supports Wi-Fi 7 for wireless networking.
The input devices are functionally identical to those of the APEX 16. The touchpad has a glass-like surface and measures 123 x 77.5 mm, while the keyboard offers the same features as the APEX 16. The only visual difference is the design of the top cover.
