Following the extensive launch of new laptops at the beginning this year, the updated XMG roadmap for the second half of 2025 introduces numerous model updates and new additions to our portfolio. Alongside refreshed models such as the XMG PRO 16 and the CORE lineup, we will soon be unveiling entirely new gaming laptops, including the XMG FUSION 16 and the XMG APEX 16 MAX.
XMG roadmap 2025: these laptops will launch in the second half of the year
All of the following information is subject to potential changes regarding development, availability, and shipping timelines. The XMG gaming laptops and ultrabooks featured here will be introduced in stages throughout the third quarter of 2025, as outlined in the timeline below. Further details on release dates, pricing, and specifications will be provided in separate product announcements via the bestware.com newsletter and the news section of xmg.gg.
XMG APEX 16 MAX: AMD version of the PRO 16 with RTX 5070 Ti
With the XMG APEX 16 MAX, we are introducing a new chassis variant closely related to XMG PRO 16. While the PRO 16 is powered by Intel processors, the APEX 16 MAX features the combination of an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.
An upgrade to the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D is not planned for this model; those interested in this option will find it in XMG NEO 16. In terms of cooling system and power limits, the APEX 16 MAX is largely similar to the PRO 16, making it the ideal choice for those seeking a powerful AMD alternative in a similar 16-inch chassis with a good price-to-performance ratio.
XMG FUSION 16: new full metal chassis with Core Ultra 9 HX
With the XMG FUSION 16, we are introducing a completely redesigned 16-inch laptop that shares the look and feel of the XMG NEO 16 but comes in a slightly thinner and lighter chassis. Inside, it features the same CPU board as the PRO 16 and NEO 16, granting the FUSION 16 access to all the capabilities of the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX platform, including CSO DIMM support, extensive BIOS tuning options, and Thunderbolt 4.
The GPU options range up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 (non-Ti). For those seeking an AMD-based alternative, the XMG CORE 16 will also be available.
XMG CORE 16 & CORE 15: AMD twins in two form factors
The new XMG CORE 16 uses the same motherboard as the AMD versions of XMG EVO series. This means the laptop is equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 series CPUs, including an HX processor in the top configuration, alongside modern features like USB4.
The 15.3-inch XMG CORE 15 shares the same technology as the CORE 16 but in a more compact form factor. Compared to the 2024 model, both the cooling system and port layout have been updated.
Configure now: XMG CORE seriesXMG FOCUS 17: the only 17-inch model in 2025
With the XMG FOCUS 17, we are offering our only 17.3-inch laptop this year. It is built on the chassis of last year’s XMG APEX 17 MAX, but with several revisions: improvements to the cooling system, black keycaps, a higher-quality touchpad with significantly enhanced glide, and a faster display complete the package.
In addition to the Intel Core i9-14900HX, the i9-13900HX will also be available at product launch. However, in the long term, we will focus on the 14th-gen version.
XMG PRO 16: refresh with Mini LED
The XMG PRO 16 (E25), featuring the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, which was launched at the start of 2025, will receive an M25 refresh in the second half of the year. The new display options will feature 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, among other improvements. This includes a mini LED panel, which is already well-known from XMG NEO 16.
Confirue now: XMG PRO seriesXMG PRO 16 Value Edition with additional GPU options
The XMG PRO 16 Value Edition is a more cost-effective variant of the standard PRO 16, offering additional GPU options. It can be configured not only with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, but also with the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060. This 16-inch laptop comes exclusively with an IPS panel and features the more affordable Intel Core i9-14900HX processor. Aside from using regular USB-C instead of Thunderbolt and SSDs connected via PCIe 4.0 instead of PCIe 5.0, the specifications are nearly identical to the standard PRO 16.
XMG EVO Series: AMD and Intel – depending on the model
The AMD-exclusive XMG EVO 14 is already available. In its new E25 version, it features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, Ryzen AI 7 365, or Ryzen AI 7 350. An new Intel-based counterpart is not planned for this model.
XMG EVO 15, however, will be available in both AMD and Intel versions, including the new Intel Core Ultra 7 255H.
Both models will support memory expansions of up to 128 GB RAM. The 2024 models will remain available alongside the new versions, at least for the time being.

At present, there are no changes to the previous plans for SCHENKER laptops. The roadmap from the beginning of 2025 remains up to date.
The highlight of 2025 so far is the SCHENKER KEY 18 Pro (E25), a high-performance 18-inch workstation featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 5090, and a 4K display with 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 colour space coverage. This model’s standout features include the configuration option with up to four M.2 SSDs and four RAM modules, offering a maximum of 256 GB of RAM, as well as two Thunderbolt 5 and two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
Configure now: SCHENKER KEY 18 Pro (E25)XMG Desktop PCs
In the desktop segment, we have recently given gaming PCs from several model series a facelift with new cases. Additionally, all new models can be configured with the latest components, including graphics cards from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 or AMD Radeon RX 9000 series, and processors from the Intel Core Ultra 200 and AMD Ryzen 9000 series.
In addition to the desktop PCs listed below, we have further updates and new product launches in the pipeline.
XMG TRINITY and XMG TRINITY X
The XMG TRINITY series epitomises high-end gaming PCs with an emphasis on extravagant design, featuring stylish side and front panels made of tempered glass for a panoramic view of the PC’s interior. Both the XMG TRINITY and the larger XMG TRINITY X have received case updates: the TRINITY now uses the Phanteks NV5 MkII chassis, while the TRINITY X is built with the HAVN HS 420, both available in black or white.

The XMG SECTOR series prioritises maximum airflow for optimal component cooling, using cases with air-permeable mesh fronts throughout. The XMG SECTOR has already undergone its 2025 model update, transitioning to the Corsair FRAME 4000D high-airflow chassis. An update is also in progress for the XMG SECTOR X.

The high-performance XMG STUDIO series is not only designed for gamers and creatives under the ‘Made to Create’ label, but also caters specifically to music production professionals. These desktop PCs are renowned for their exceptionally low DPC latencies and are currently only available with Intel CPUs.
To ensure the highest standards, we conduct intensive testing of the installed components and the various configurable options available. Both models continue to utilise Fractal Design Torrent Compact (for STUDIO) and Fractal Design Torrent (for STUDIO X) cases. However, the evaluation of components, particularly the motherboards for the latest Arrow Lake platform, is still ongoing, with an evaluation of AMD Fire Range also planned for the future.

A brand-new addition for 2025, although launching later in the year, is the XMG NOMAD – a small, exceptionally compact, and most importantly, transportable Micro-ATX PC that packs impressive performance. We won’t give away too much just yet, but here’s a little teaser for you.
